About Ashutosh Khatavkar
Spent 1.5+ years at Ubisoft Entertainment India on For Honor. multiplayer fighting game, concurrent players, the kind of thing where one missed bug ruins someone\'s ranked match. Built automated test frameworks in Python with Selenium and PyTest. 300+ test cases, 95% coverage. Also built a custom network simulation tool for reproducing peer-to-peer multiplayer bugs, stuff like packet loss, latency spikes, desync. Without that tool, those bugs don\'t get caught until launch day. Documented 150+ defects with step-by-step repro instructions, which got developer resolution time down by 30%. Environment setup used to take 2 hours. Automated it down to 15 minutes. That\'s 320+ hours back per quarter. Validated every release across PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Functional testing, regression testing, API testing, all of it before anything went live. Plugged our test suite into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines. Team velocity went up 25%, regression cycles dropped from 10 days to 7. Shipped four seasonal updates on time. Just wrapped up my MS in Computer Science at Syracuse University. Went deep on machine learning, causal inference, and AI while I was there. Outside of that, been contributing to Infinite Lives under Preservation Quest, a video game research project where I\'m building multi-agent systems with knowledge graphs and the Anthropic API. Not your typical QA side project, but it keeps me sharp. Looking for full-time SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or Software Test Engineer work. The gaming industry teaches you what happens when quality slips in front of millions of people. That stays with you. Also picking up Playwright and Cypress right now to round out my Selenium background.Stack: Python, Selenium, PyTest, Postman, REST API Testing, SQL, JavaScript, TypeScript, Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD, JIRA, Agile/Scrum

Preservation Quest is a nonprofit that focuses on video game preservation and academic research. Infinite Lives is their research platform, and I\'ve been contributing as a developer. The main thing I built is a Gameplay Event Agent. Basically it\'s part of a larger multi-agent system that uses knowledge graphs to structure video game data. Wrote it in Python, hooked it up to the Anthropic API, and the job is extracting structured gameplay events from walkthrough content. Tested the whole thing against Zelda: Breath of the Wild walkthroughs and it worked. Also been working on a RAG system (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) that lets you query video game research papers. First version had some rough edges. Rewrote it into v2.0 with singleton patterns, exponential backoff, cut API calls by about 66%. Way more stable now.
