ABOUT ASHU BHONGIRI
I am currently a third-year student at Pennsylvania State University, pursuing a major in cybersecurity alongside double minors in Security and Risk Analysis (SRA) and Information Sciences and Technology (IST). During the summer of 2023, I had the opportunity to contribute to InNeed Intelligent Cloud, a pioneering startup based in Atlanta, Georgia, where I served as a Cloud Business and Security Analyst. In this role, I played a vital part in crafting and executing AWS strategies for our clients, ensuring not only their operational success but also the robust security of their data environments. By fostering collaboration across teams and stakeholders, I helped drive business growth while maintaining the highest standards of security. My tenure at InNeed Intelligent Cloud equipped me with comprehensive expertise in AWS, spanning Cloud and Cyber Security Analysis, implementation, and management. Prior to this, during the summer of 2021, I engaged in cybersecurity research as an intern at Softpath Systems, LLC, also located in Atlanta, Georgia. Here, I delved into various security threats, conducting in-depth research on indicators of compromise, phishing attacks, SQL injection threats, and brute force attacks. My responsibilities extended to risk management, ensuring adherence to security policies, analyzing network traffic, and investigating and remediating malware incidents. Each project concluded with detailed reports presented to the cybersecurity research team\'s leadership. In addition to my professional experiences, I am honored to be recognized on Pennsylvania State University\'s Dean\'s List. Furthermore, I actively engage in extracurricular activities, including membership in the Pennsylvania State University Chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success. I am deeply involved in various clubs and organizations on campus, such as the Red Cell Analytics Club, Google Developers Club, 3D Printing Club, Robotics Club, Blue and White Society, Nittany Data Labs, Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity, and the IST Honors Society. These experiences have enriched my academic journey and reinforced my commitment to excellence in cybersecurity and technology.
