Diversity Education and Multicultural ProgrammingRecruit, train, and provide support for student staff personnel, including but not limited to a graduate assistant, student assistant(s), and the Diversity Peer EducatorsServe on the College’s Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) Committee, a campus-wide committee charged with planning programs to increase students’ appreciation for and understanding of diversity. Assist the Diversity Officer and DEI Committee with student engagement in the planning of the College’s annual observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday in January.Collaborate with campus constituents to support existing DEI-related programs and develop programming initiatives to raise awareness of the unique cultures, perspectives, and issues that are present in our campus community and society. Advise, mentor, and advocate for the Multicultural Organizations Success Team (MOST), composed of recognized student organizations and student programs affiliated with Multicultural Affairs, including the Diversity Peer Educators.Community Resources Maintain and promote the College’s Diversity Resource RoomCollaborate with campus constituents and community partners to effectively assist students in connecting to Federal, state, and local benefits and resources to address personal crisis situations and needs, including collaboration with Counseling Services on the annual Wellness & Community Resource Fair.International Education Services and ProgramsServe as a Designated School Official (DSO) initiating and managing the College’s nonimmigrant international student records in the Student & Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). Provide and coordinate an international student orientation program and continued advising of current international students
