About Ashton Adair
I am a chemical engineer with 7 years in the E&P Industry and almost 3 years of experience in the Midstream Industry. I began my career in project engineering, and I was able to work on the final construction stages of one facility, Eagle, and the beginning stages of another, Goliad. For the Eagle facility, I assisted with PSSRs, chemical inventory calculations, and reviewed changes for the Cause/Effect table with the process engineer. For the Goliad facility, I was a project engineer for a grassroots facility and worked aside an EPC for the design and construction of Goliad. My main role was ensuring the compressor vendor and EPC were accomplishing what needed to be done. I worked with the compressor package vendors to design, construct, and transport the 6 CAT 3616 residue compressor packages to site. Other roles I took within DCP were Pipeline Integrity Risk Engineer, and my primary function was to maintain DCP\'s Risk Program. I have worked closely with a risk consultant to develop a new software to quantify the risk present on all of DCP\'s regulated systems. This has changed the entire risk process and documentation required for each assessment.I currently work for Devon Energy as a Production Engineer supporting the Delaware Basin. I spent 4 years as a facilities engineer planning, designing, and managing the execution of production facilities in Eagle Ford and Delaware Basin. Initially, I was apart of Devon\'s Risk Management group where I worked closely with facilities engineers to provide safe designs from a process and occupational safety standpoint. The main types of risk assessments utilized are HAZID and HAZOP.
