Responsible for providing IP clearances for in-house and outsourced API, Patentability evaluation of the inventions carried out by R&D, Drafting, filing and prosecuting the patent applications to protect the inventions developed by organization, Freedom-to-operate (FTO) analysis, preparing patent assessment reports Involved in designing strategies for API development, Proposing process(s)/ polymorph(s) to be targeted for various geographies to R&D, supporting R&D scientists for developing non-infringing process,Supporting to the product selection team by providing necessary IP inputs & available white spaces, Identifying the invalidation grounds for the product patent/s for US and India for the potential molecules provided by business to have early launch opportunity. Experience in various literature search databases such as USPTO, EPO, JPO, IPO, Micropat, Delphion, Total patents, Scifinder, Thomson Pharma, Newports, IMS and other individual country patent data bases.
