ABOUT ASHLY V.
As Deputy Chief Information Security Officer at N26 Bank SE, Ashly supports the CISO in defining and executing the bank’s information security strategy. He heads the ICT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) function, which serves as the second line of defense for information security across the N26 Group.In this role, Ashly helps lead the implementation of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), collaborating closely with all information security teams to translate regulatory requirements into effective operational practices. As an Assistant Manager in Tech Risk at KPMG London, he led Cybersecurity reviews, Statutory IT audits, SOC/ISAE 3402 assurance reporting and GDPR reviews across sectors including banking, oil and gas, and the UK public sector. He managed large engagements such as Bank of New York Mellon and Wood Group, overseeing global teams and delivering regulatory-driven risk reports.Before that, he served as a Senior Consultant at EY Los Angeles, focusing on US-SOX ITGC audits, SSAE-16 SOC reviews, and internal audits. He worked with clients such as Fox Studios and ADP, managing high-volume engagements and leading teams across geographies. He began his career in the Risk Assurance practice of EY Johannesburg, conducting ITGC and security audits for South African financial and retail sector clients.
