Serve as an integral part of the Intake process, working closely with the intake team to ensure clinical appropriateness and accuracy on the front end. Front end clinician responsible for receiving, reviewing and providing clinical advice regarding alternative therapies as needed.• Review all acute therapy referrals including intravenous antibiotics, IV steroids, hydration, and long-term IVIG or biologic therapies upon receipt. Review progress notes and lab results to assure ordered therapy is safe and suitable for each patient.• Determine IV access appropriateness and obtain placement orders when applicable. • Manage verbal order voicemail, deduce to writing, and assign to appropriate intake team. • Allocate drugs and supplies needed for proper infusing at clinic or with home health nurse.• Collaborate with sales associates to offer clinical expertise and obtain alternate therapy orders from referral sources in addition to clinical consultations to patients as needed.
