ABOUT ASHLI BLACK

Ashli Black works in mathematics education with a focus on curriculum, standards, and problem-based learning. She is currently working for Illustrative Mathematics on projects related to IM Curricula. Prior to her current work, Ashli was a mathematics teacher for the Edmonds School District for six years, a mathematics education consultant, and a substitute teacher in Maine. During her time in the classroom she was active in many district and school-level committees, earned her National Board certification in AYA Mathematics, and was given the Outstanding Educator award by her school’s Parent/Teacher/Student Association in 2011. She is also an alumna of the Park City Mathematics Institute from 20••••15 where she served as staff from 20••••15.
