ABOUT ASHLEY ZUNIGA
I am an accomplished scientific and project management professional with a combined 12+ years of experience leading and developing projects in industry, academia, and non-profit settings. While I’ve recently transitioned to roles focusing on clinical and technical project management, I continue to utilize my expertise as a trained immunologist specializing in inflammatory diseases in multiple therapeutic areas including oncology, autoimmune, and infectious diseases. In my current position, I combine my project management skillsets with my technical training and experience to provide a strategic business opportunity for coordinated development of programs and the overall portfolio at GeoVax. I maintain an operational and scientific function within the organization in support of all clinical activities, manufacturing programs, and R&D pipeline development. Alongside my professional duties, I am actively pursuing ways of using my extensive training and skill sets to make immediate social impacts and serve local communities. My experiences serve as a platform to inspire and support others who want to create positive change in the world through STEM. In my free time, I am an avid hiker, mountain biker, and kayaker.
