About Ashley Saddul

I specialize in living a great life. I enjoy slapping on a backpack, and traveling to a new country periodically. I prefer mingling with locals rather than stare at pretty landmarks - although, I do appreciate engineering feats and things of historical importance. My trip is a success when I unexpectedly get invited to someone\'s house and get exposed to what they eat, what music they listen to, and how they see the world. What does that have to do with my professional/business life? Everything. It shapes my principles, makes me a better person, and allows me to think out of the box. Interwoven with traveling and food is my passion for technology and the internet. I love creating things of value to the world - these are, after all, my footprints. I hiked Mount Fuji at night in 2002. I thought it\'d be \"a cool thing to do\". I only had a flash light - and nothing else. I was hit by an ice storm half way up the mountain - if you didn\'t duck when the wind was gusting, it would literally toss you off the slope. My bones were frozen, and I had major altitude sickness. I thought that I was going to die. But I made it to the top, after many false peaks. I was met with a bunch of people huddled together in a small cabin, slurping on hot noodle soup (yes, they sell bowls of it up there). It was the best soup that I\'ve ever had. And when day broke, I was on top of the clouds watching the most awesome sunrise ever. I\'d like to think that taking an idea and turning it into a successful operation is somewhat related to that feat. I love building successful companies up from scratch, and making investments in emerging technologies/media - especially when very few people know about them yet. Once you feel that adrenaline rush, it\'s tough to stop. I am on top of a mountain every day. Specialties: Pouncing on opportunities, turning nothing into something of value, and living fully.
