About Ashley Lau

Ashley has more than a decade of combined experience working in public policy, economic analysis, and journalism. She is currently an economic officer for the U.S. Department of State, where she does regional economic analysis, and has previously worked for the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the White House Office of Management and Budget, where she served as a Presidential Management Fellow. Prior to her federal government career, she worked as a journalist for Thomson Reuters, where she covered a range of financial, economic, and business news. She completed her Master of Public Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and her Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Economics from Northwestern University.

My work involves providing assessments to help inform policymakers, as well as briefing senior officials, and leading economic projects.
