I am working in the field of ultrafast spectroscopy with a focus on plasmonic nanomaterials, specifically on gold nanoparticles under ligand exchange. This aims to better understand the kinetics of plasmonic excitation on ultrafast timescales used for various chemical applications, but namely photothermal applications. I have the pleasure of being mentored by PhD candidate Gerrit Christenson and Professor James Gaynor.
