As a Fleet Manager, I manage, assign, coordinate, and oversee fleet vehicles and delivery of new vehicles across the country in addition to field operations equipment. I identify company standards in relation to vehicle maintenance, set up, and organization. Not only do I develop and manage the fleet asset utilization plan, but I also create and implement standard operating procedures related to driver scenarios. In addition, I monitor fuel and toll charges for fraudulent activity. I also take the time to oversee fleet operations projects from requirements definition through to deployment by working with project staff from multiple departments. To meet business needs and financial budgets, I work with the fleet management company to implement the most cost-effective solution.⇨ Optimize safety and efficiency by determining commercial van layouts fitting technician needs.⇨ Ensure unit compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to commercial vehicles.⇨ Implement corrective actions upon analyzing driver performance and violations and working with management.⇨ Responsible for Fleet Operations budgeting, analyzing large scale financial information (e.g. revenues, expenditures and cash management) to ensure all operations are within budget. ⇨ Adhere to state requirements and company policies by maintaining registration renewals, insurance renewals, and title changes.⇨ Maintain project requirements and met timelines by analyzing project progress and adapting scopes, timelines, and costs.⇨ Identify options for possible solutions to mass shortages in commercial vehicle supply by negotiating corporate accounts with Enterprise and Lyft to provide backups for vehicle availability for the field operations department.
