ABOUT ASHLEY LESTER
With 15 years of experience working in data teams, I architect and develop full-stack technical solutions that empower businesses to thrive on data-driven decisions. I am a seasoned hands-on developer, engineering and coding with SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, Python, Java, Databricks, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, Git, Bash, Airflow, SSIS, Power BI, and many other technologies. As the Global Administrator for our Azure tenant, I manage the lifecycle of all resources on our data subscriptions – whether those are for system integrations, BI platforms, virtual networks and security, virtual machines, containerisation, data warehouses, data lakes, or other enterprise data platforms. I am keen to see colleagues use our products in their data models and BI applications, and strive to improve the uptake of BI in all organisational layers, from front-line staff to senior management. I enjoy fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders, particularly those that bring feedback and requirements from their areas of expertise, so we can leverage that information in our next iteration of products. I have a proven track record of delivery, in social housing, retail, contact centres, debt management, education, digital marketing, public services, and the energy sector.
