About Ash Hartung

A marketing/communications professional with a B.S. in Public Relations and Journalism and an MBA in Sports, Arts, and Entertainment Management. My passions lie in writing, editing, and especially, copy-editing. I am someone who feels very strongly about the human aspect of working, mental health, and working to live rather than living to work. Human-centered work environments are important to me. Lifting people up rather than tearing them down is the kind of environment I feel I thrive in most. While I do believe that some healthy competition is beneficial in the workplace, I will be the first to say that I do not do well in a cut-throat, constantly competitive environment. I want to help people. Feel helpful. Feel appreciated. Feel like I\'m not in it alone. Most importantly, I want to create this same kind of environment for my colleagues, clients, customers, and everyone I encounter. I work best in a creative, supportive environment. I love to collaborate on projects and work best with someone who wants to jump right in and get it done. I\'m more of a planner who gets hung up on making sure everything is right and perfect before moving forward, so these personality types help balance me out the most.
