For the summer of 2025, I worked full time as a mechanical intern, continuing this experience part-time through the school year. I have worked on various HVAC and plumbing projects for large school districts, medical centers, and offices. Though my work with primarily done through designing on AutoCAD and Revit, this internship required handwritten calculations and critical thinking to size duct and plumbing, route devices, perform load calculations, determine existing systems, and create Excel calculators. I was able to work alongside project managers and professional engineers to get hands on experience in projects, meetings, and site visits. One of my biggest takes aways was the importance of asking questions and thinking forwardly.
