About Ashley Brown

I am currently working as an Application Security Engineer at Bandwidth Inc. I am a passionate worker with a drive to succeed and accelerate progress.From an early age I always saw myself working in computer science. I pictured myself in a small room in a black hoodie sitting with a computer in front of me, working on many different types of computer systems. Usually, these dreams involved me breaking into the network of a top security firm to expose all their deep dark secrets. I aspire to fill this childhood dream and am working hard to achieve it every day. I have always enjoyed and excelled with languages, and to me computer code is one of the most interesting languages. I have taken Spanish since I was in kindergarten and tried to teach myself Russian using Duolingo. Languages are so intriguing because they open doors and create almost a secret society that only those that understand can join. Computer code is just another language to me because it opens the door to the machine world and not many people understand it. However, it controls almost everything we do today and how we stay connected with each other.Besides coding, I enjoy connecting with and helping people. I love being able to work hand in hand with team members to achieve our goal. I feel that teamwork and communication are two of my best skills.
