About Ashley A. Wong
Ashley Wong is a sophomore at Florida State University with a major in political science in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy. Bred through service with a passion for social change and advocacy, Ashley strives to play a significant role in the overall enhancement and development of underrepresented communities—through her current involvement in various community service organizations such as The Ving project,(a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing youth philanthropy) and her work towards taking the first step in ensuring equitable school, work, and community spaces as an Ambassador for the Florida State Student Alumni Association (that assists in bridging the gap between students and Alumni), a Student Senator in the Florida State Student Government Association and her role as Ms. Black Student Union. With the evolution of her skillset however, she aims to enhance the quality of life and community for disadvantaged and marginalized groups through intentional acts of community service and advancement therefore leading to a career in public advocacy, one in which she is able to be a true voice for change through a more established channel of support.
