Building a shared decision-making implementation strategy for the emerging paradigm of precision cancer screening (SCREEN SHARE Study)A mixed methods research study aimed at improving shared decision-making in precision prostate cancer screening for Veterans. It consists of three key aims:1. Understanding Veterans\' Needs: Conducting interviews with 40-50 Veterans to identify the information and support needed for informed decision-making using polygenic risk scores (PRS).2. Clinician Insights: Collecting qualitative data from 20-30 PACT (patient-aligned care team) clinicians via interviews and quantitative data from a nationwide survey to explore their challenges and preferences in supporting Veterans’ prostate cancer screening decisions.3. Developing Tools and Strategies: Utilizing intervention mapping to create resources that address Veterans’ decisional needs and align with VA Healthcare System requirements, in collaboration with operational partners such as the VHA National Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention (NCP), Office of Primary Care (OPC), and National Precision Oncology Program (NPOP).
