About Ashley Alaniz-Moyer
After graduating from TCU with a degree in Communications in 2009, Ashley Alaniz-Moyer served as an AmeriCorps Vista member worked with Big Brothers Big Sisters in Irving, Texas. Since then, she has worked in education and non-profits serving various underrepresented student populations. She is deeply passionate about equity, diversity and inclusion.Ashley currently serves as the Executive Director of the Hispanic Scholarship Consortium. Her work has been recognized by the Austin Business Journal, Austin Under 40 awards and Austin Woman Magazine. She also serves on the Mayor of Austin’s Taskforce on Institutional Racism. In 2019, Ashley was given an Equity Warrior Award by The Excellence & Advancement Foundation. Ashley received her MBA in Organizational Leadership and Management from Concordia University Texas where she received the Alumni Emerging Leader Award.Ashley resides in Austin, Texas with her partner, Billy Moyer. Together they make a formidable team of two as they tackle numerous projects through Bashley Collaborative, a business they started together. Billy and Ashley released the I Do, We Do podcast in 2018 where they chat about how they have built an epic partnership even though they are complete opposites.

HSC is a vibrant collective impact entity focused on providing Latino scholars with access to higher education, academic success, professional experience, and a network of support.My roles:Executive Director July 2015 - Present- Oversee day to day operations, development, marketing and communications while reporting directly to the Board of Directors- Manage & administer over 18 scholarship funds including innovative emergency grant fund in partnership with E3 Alliance- Cultivated new partnership growing applicant pool by 460% and increased revenue- Developed Latino Leaders program to provide series of workshops to high school students to Austin ISD students- Promoted to Executive Director from Director of Development in July 2015 - Performed analysis of expenditures in first 3 months of employment andprovided recommendations to Board for cuts- Led organization to financial stability, from huge deficit to 6 months reserve Director of Development February 2014 to July 2015- Established system for reporting and acknowledging donations- Developed budgets and timelines for program activities- Acted as staff liaison to Board of Directors
