Ashley Thompson serves as the Firm Director of Strategic Planning at Thompson Financial Group, where she focuses on driving growth that is both personal and professional. In her role, she develops new market and recruitment strategy initiatives with a commitment to building strong, diverse teams and empowering financial professionals to thrive. She is especially passionate about creating pathways for women and underrepresented advisors to feel seen, supported, and successful in the financial services industry. Her leadership style is grounded in curiosity, clarity, and a deep respect for individual goals.Outside of work, Ashley is pursuing her MBA at Johns Hopkins University, where she is exploring the intersection of business and policy to further strengthen her strategic perspective.Prior to her role in the private sector, she served as a Contract Specialist with the United States Navy at Naval Sea Systems Command, where she supported the procurement of submarine combat systems, sensors, radars, and electronic warfare technologies. Ashley graduated magna cum laude from Wake Forest University in May 2023 with a B.A. in Politics & International Affairs, alongside minors in Sociology and Chinese Language & Culture. Her dedication to quality and data-driven decision-making is further demonstrated by her work with the Department of Defense Office of Legislative Affairs, the Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence and Security, and Homeland Security Investigations (DHS) in Honolulu, HI.
