ABOUT ASHLEY SKELLY

I am a licensed professional clinical counselor and supervisor (LPCC-S) and a registered art therapist (ATR). I currently supervise the CALL program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, a program that provides mental health consultation to Franklin County Children’s Services. I also continue to provide treatment services through the ECMH program. Additionally, I facilitate art therapy groups for adults living with epilepsy through the Epilepsy Alliance in Columbus, OH. Other clinical experiences include working with adolescents in residential treatment, adult patients with cancer and kidney disease, and children, adolescents, and adults in community mental health agencies, with experience providing both outpatient and home-based services. I have completed training in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Incredible Years (IY). I have co-facilitated dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) groups with adult women, and have developed and implemented various art therapy groups for both adults and children. I have supervised counseling and art therapy interns in addition to professional counselors. I have presented research at the ACES, AMHCA, BATA, and Living with Epilespy conferences. I am currently serving as the Legislative Chair for the Buckeye Art Therapy Association, and am leading efforts to secure art therapy licensure in the state of Ohio.
