In this role I serve as a guest lecturer for the Human Growth & Development course in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. The course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the physiological, cognitive, and emotional changes that occur throughout the human lifespan, with a focus on the implications for physical therapy practice. I teach a module within the course called \"Providing Physical Therapy under IDEA,\" where students explore the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), understand its influence on physical therapy services within schools, and learn how to create and execute therapy plans that align with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support both functional development and academic achievement.
