I currently assist Dr. Elissa Barr with her research on sex education and work with the Florida Healthy Youth Alliance with administrative and advocacy related tasks. We use state and national data such as that from the Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System to help others make informed decisions about heath education. I assisted in research, data, and academic support for Dr. Kerry Clark. In the Clark Lab, DNA analysis on arthropods, human blood samples, and other samples are completed to better understand the nature of tick-borne illnesses such as Lyme Disease. During my assistantship, I practiced PCR sampling, micro pipetting, and other lab based skills while also working on data analysis for ongoing research.Notable projects and performance- Co-authored a paper on school-based health services to improve youth access to reproductive health care which was published in the journal, Social Sciences- Presented at the National Sexual Health Conference in 2025 titled \"Statewide Initiatives to Advance Sexual Health Education During Challenges and Controversy\"- Presented at local university symposiums discussing school-based health services and other reproductive and sexual health related topics-Organized and gathered contact information of nearly 400 school board members over 67 counties in Florida in Microsoft Excel to assist in improved health communication efforts-Compiled over public 100 health related roles throughout Florida\'s public school districts and organized relevant information into Microsoft Excel to assist in improved health communication efforts- Created engaging health education and outreach flyers to help promote FHYA\'s history and causes- Created an easily digestible timeline of relevant health education legislature over the past 5 years which has been passed or implemented in the state of Florida.
