ABOUT ASHLEY ROGERS
My current role is a principal plant layout engineer on an integrated refinery and petrochemical facility in Saudi Arabia. I am responsible for the overall layout of the refinery area and production of the refinery unit plot plans. I am a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and mentor graduate engineers to achieve Chartership.I have specialised in plant layout and have been responsible for the site layout of both greenfield and brownfield LNG, refinery and petrochemical facilities. My role includes the development of overall site layouts, individual process unit layouts and the production of typical plant layout deliverables including site plans, plot plans and plant layout reports. I am also responsible for the coordination and oversight of piping designers on project. I am required to regularly present plant layout concepts to project and client management as well as participate in plot plans reviews. I have also undetaken a number of site visits to assess the feasibility and implementation of design solutions.I have broad experience in the piping discipline having worked on projects from Study, Pre-FEED, FEED through to EPC phase in various roles inlcuding material logistics, piping design, field piping engineer, and plant layout. The projects I have worked have been wide ranging and include National and International Oil Companies from across the globe. I also have extensive knowledge of International Standards related to piping design.I am profficient in the use of Microstation, AutoCAD, PDS, PDMS, and Smart 3D as well standard Microsoft Office tools.
