About Ashley Robinson
I’m Ashley Robinson, a senior at the George Washington University. I am majoring in journalism and mass communications with a minor in marketing, and I run on the varsity cross country and track teams. I intend to become a broadcast sports reporter post-college. At GW, I am enrolled in journalism classes where I am able to continue to develop my understanding of the field. I am anchor GW-TV’s studio sportscast, “Unstoppable\", and I work with athletics for ESPN+ livestreams of athletic events, and for shooting photos and highlights of games. I have interned at FOX 5 DC and ABC 7 WJLA, where I gained essential skills to become a reporter in a professional newsroom. I have been recognized twice for my journalistic work by NATAS Chicago/Midwest - once in 2022 with the Silver Circle Scholarship, and in 2025 with the Ephraim Family Foundation Scholarship.I was influenced to pursue a career in journalism due to the incredible background I developed in my high school broadcast journalism and production classes. During my high school career, I was a Coordinating Producer on my school’s weekly newscast and I participated in the Northwestern Medill Cherubs program.
