ABOUT ASHLEY PRIOR
The circumstances of one\'s birth are irrelevant, it\'s what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are. I first heard these words when I was very young and I have tried to live my life by them. I left school and completed a masters degree in physcis at the University of Kent while working to support myself. After University I decided on a career move to accountancy and acquired my ACA qualification. During my time in an audit practice while leading teams of junior staff members I began working in personal tax and rediscovered my passion for working with numbers and applying them in a practical environment. In 2015 I joined PwC in the London Deals Tax team specialising in share plans and management taxes where I developed from a senior associate to senior manager in three and a half years. Over my PwC career I have been fortunate enough to have worked on a variety of transactions including management buy outs and IPOs.I left PwC in 2024 to join the Management Taxes and Transactions team at EY as a Director, where I will work on both deals with the opportunity to work on either the Sponsor or Management side.I have also been involved with disability networks as ensuring people with disabilities have equal access and opportunies in life is something I am passionate about.
