About Ashley N. Hamati

As an Obstetrics & Gynecology PGY-3 at OhioHealth, I am committed to providing high-quality patient care and advancing my medical knowledge. I have completed rotations in Gynecologic Oncology at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where I gained valuable experience in complex surgical and inpatient oncology patients. These experiences fueled my passion and drive for pursuing fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology, for which I am a current applicant. I am drawn to this field for its surgical complexity, acuity, and the opportunity to build longitudinal relationships with patients navigating some of the most difficult diagnoses in women’s health. My clinical interests include rare gynecologic malignancies, advancements in the management of cervical cancer, and the integration of holistic palliative care principles to improve quality of life across the cancer continuum. I also hold a Bachelor of Science degree from Wake Forest University in Health and Exercise Science and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lincoln Memorial University.

   Felix Rutledge Rotating Residency Program at MD Anderson Cancer Center- Accepted through a selective application process to rotate as a senior OB/GYN resident on the Gynecologic Oncology service for 1 month- Participated in care of complex surgical, inpatient, and outpatient gynecologic oncology patients, multidisciplinary tumor boards, and high-volume operative cases at a leading NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center.
