ABOUT ASHLEY M. WITMER
I am a third-year PhD candidate in the Department of Mental Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. My work is grounded in public mental health and psychiatric epidemiology, with a focus on characterizing the epidemiology of suicide among college students to inform prevention strategies specific to the college population. More broadly, my research interests center on college mental health and suicide prevention among adolescents and young adults. I aim to generate high-impact, actionable evidence to inform effective mental health interventions and policy decisions that improve health across these populations.
