Experienced Nurse Educator | Perioperative & Emergency Nursing | DNP Graduate (May 2025)An experienced nurse educator with 10 years of diverse nursing experience in the Emergency Department (ED), Operating Room (OR), supervisory leadership, and clinical education, I currently serve as a Service Line Nurse Educator for Perioperative Services. My expertise includes staff development, evidence-based education, surgical technology implementation, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and surgical team performance.I am skilled in nursing documentation, emergency and perioperative medicine, general and specialty surgery, and advanced life support training, holding certifications as a Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor, as well as in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). My background includes healthcare technology implementation, having served as a super user during Epic EHR system launches, as well as leading the rollout of electronic surgical consents (eConsents) to improve perioperative workflow and compliance. Additionally, I leverage data analytics and reporting tools to drive process improvements and enhance patient safety.With a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration, workflow optimization, and clinical education, I am committed to developing programs that advance nursing practice and improve patient outcomes. I have earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) in May 2025. My academic background includes a Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN-FNP) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), both from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University.
