ABOUT ASHLEY JACKSON
I’m an education and nonprofit leader passionate about creating opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and lead. With over a decade of experience, I design and lead programs that support academic success, build confidence, and strengthen community.Currently, I serve as Youth Program Manager at Legacy Foundation of Hartford, where I develop innovative, culturally responsive learning experiences for students in grades 3–12. My work has included strengthening teacher pipelines with TEACH Connecticut, addressing chronic absenteeism in Hartford schools, and coordinating international service-learning experiences for young women of color.I’m also the author and creator of Curls with Esteem, a natural hair curriculum rooted in identity and confidence. Recognized as part of the 2023 class of 100 Women of Color, I remain committed to advancing equity, empowerment, and thriving communities.
