Hiring a turnaround planner, a process engineer, and a controls designer each require different sourcing, different conversations, and different sells. I\'ve done enough of each to know the difference.• Hiring managers deserve a partner, not an order-taker. The best outcomes come from pushing back on specs that won\'t yield, coaching on compensation realities, and being honest about market supply.• Candidates are the product of this business.
