ABOUT ASHLEIGH KING
Hello, I\'m Ashleigh King I’m a storyteller and a chatterbox! I’m passionate about all sorts of things, the main ones being: Teaching people to share their stories with the world through podcasting.🤹 Supporting others to find their Zest through coaching tools, I see Zest as that one thing that lights them up Once we work out what that is, we nurture it!The key values which have helped me find my Zest! are: Creativity🦁 Courage🤔 Curiosity Inspiration🦩 Zest!A bit about me: I was born and raised in both South Africa and Zimbabwe although I’m Irish! I now live in the UK I grew up at the end of apartheid in South Africa, which has left a powerful mark on the way I see the world.I will never forget the beginnings of the ‘Rainbow Nation’ and watching people vote for the first time! I believe that being ‘Anti-Racist’ is a responsibility for all of us. 🧠 At age 32, I received a shock as I was diagnosed as neurodivergent with ADHD.Attention - Deficit - Hyperactivity - Disorder What an eye-opening piece of information to discover! Finally I understand what I call my frenetic energy and creative chaos! I am an advocate for talking openly about mental health, neurodiversity and surviving trauma. I hid the suffering of my childhood sexual assault beneath a mask for fear of hurting others, although this hurt me more, deeply affecting my mental health (Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder - CPTSD) and relationships. I am living a life with Zest, in spite of ADHD/ CPTSD. I have over 20 years experience in Corporate Communications and Events.Others describe me as agile, a creative problem-solver, energetic, strategic, and collaborative. Interestingly, all SUPERPOWERS of ADHD 🦸 🧠 I have created a lot of podcasts! I am the proud alumna of two Business Schools and former Co-Licensee / Executive Producer of TEDxNewcastleUnviersity I\'d LOVE to build connections with interests in Neurodiversity and Social Justice.
