Facilitate review and analysis of economic development opportunities to determine project feasibility.· Research, identify, and collect information needed for economic development: confidential land ownership information, land survey documentation, archaeological and cultural clearances, environmental assessments, land use reviews and zoning entitlements, and real estate appraisals. · Organize and support cross-departmental teams and external organizations (the Bureau of Indian Affairs, developers, lessees, brokers, title companies, financiers, appraisers, surveyors, lawyers, etc.) to coordinate economic development activity and document analysis.· Compose and facilitate the review, negotiation, and approval of proposals and associated contracts for economic development pursuant to SRPMIC ordinances and applicable Federal statutes and regulations. · Comprehensive and detailed management of multiple economic development projects and their activities to meet fiduciary and legal requirements. · Analyze proposed business lease amendments and financial documents in accordance with the existing lease provisions to ensure accuracy of the post-lease transactions.· Monitor and manage long-term lease compliance, ensure rent payments are paid in accordance with the lease due to scheduled rent increases, calculate Consumer Price Index adjustments, and review annual reconciliations from developers to ensure accuracy. · Use a wide range of methods to investigate, analyze, and review complex or conflicting problems and issues to develop solutions and make recommendations on how to correct existing or potential issues.· Draft comprehensive responses to indicate facts, findings, and recommendations based on research of historic transactions and records to assist in resolving issues. · Skilled at building relationships and leveraging the trust built within those relationships to cause action.
