To design and develop scalable Internet based software that helps solve real world problems. My interests lie in the core technical/architecture stream.I am currently working as a Principal Engineer at Amazon.com. I am part of the Amazon Exports and Expansion (AEE) team working with the MENA (Middle East North Africa) team building software for emerging marketplaces. We launched Pin On Maps based address creation on Amazon, and also own many other software and innovations for dual language marketplaces. Some of these include improving dual language search indexing as well using Machine Learning and LLMs to solve problems such as address understanding and promotion abuse. We own the MENA marketplaces end-to-end and have been looking into economical ways to expand Amazon\'s footprint in the overall GCC region.Before that I was part of the Last Mile organization at Amazon. My team owned ML models, data and services used for mapping customer addresses to a defined Place (unit/building/campus) on the map. This involves processing customer entered address text for normalization, segmentation and interpreting colloquial forms of addresses. Besides this, my team also owned parts of address creation experience, including Address Suggestion, Reverse Geocode lookup, Address Correction etc. as well as Customer Delivery Preferences.Before this I was part of the Ordering team working on the next generation Ordering platform for Amazon including Amazon\'s Global Store and improvements to our Shopping Cart experience, and before that the WWOPS group, working in the Supply Chain team. I worked on inventory optimization and event tracking to reduce costs while meeting commitments made to our customers.Before Amazon I was working as a Computer Scientist at Adobe Systems in the LiveCycle Data Services/BlazeDS team. I have also worked on the User Manager and Solution Accelerator teams within the LiveCycle group. From April 2011 to when I left Adobe, I was part of the Adobe LiveCycle Systems Architecture Team which takes high level architectural decisions for the overall LiveCycle product. I was a Speaker at Adobe MAX 2009 and again at the Adobe Flash Platform Summit 2011.My employer prior to Adobe was Contata Solutions where I worked among other things on a custom web application framework. When I left Contata, this framework was used in almost all J2EE projects at Contata.
