TAC engineer working on Firewall, troubleshooting ipsec, sslvpn, network issues and other production issues.Responsible for defining/configuring/implementing/managing the policies/rules/other config on network security devices, troubleshooting/fixing in case of issues-understanding the new addition of any server/device in network and accordingly plan for the configuration to make it ready for the production-Discussing the requirement with the customer and planning for the device upgrades/patch management to keep the devices up to date and secure from vulnerabilities-Identifying the area of improvements and work on the improvement plans ie. Fine tuning the configuration (have of Firewall/Fortimanager/Fortianalyzer/Solarwind for Monitoring/CPPM in network)-Responsible for the support, administration and installations/upgrades of network hardware including FW -Perform troubleshooting the network security and firewall problems, NGFW, DHCP, wired and wireless issues. Resolving issue wrt to the Access points which are not working or not getting any IP and get it work for testing before it goes to production. Also, working on UTM features- Also, when it comes to the wireless, clients ask for the segregation of the network (guest and corp), taking care of this as well-Checking on the LAN part ie. Switching and routing (Cisco router) and make sure that the traffic reaching the gateway and pass through the correct interface via FW-As this account have many of the locations connected via IPSec vpn, when issue arises, need to troubleshoot the same and get it resolved at earliest, before SLA breach-Taking care/helping in the SDWAN migration from firewall-Preparing and updating NW security documentation (best practice document)-Respond immediately to security-related incidents and provide a thorough post-event analysis-Taking care of the escalation issues/cases and get it resolved at the earliest-Joining the P1/P2 call and make sure that business should not impact and getting the issue resolve at earliest-Performing the RCA for the more high priority issues and share to the mgmt. Working on the Problem ticket to update the RCA-Working on ITSM tool like Service now, keeping updated all the Problem ticket and Incident to track the same-Also, we do join the MIM call and make sure that whatever issue on which we are working, gets resolved at earliest either via workaround or with solution.
