Seasoned and passionate IB educator with 20 years of teaching, administrative and Senior Leadership Team( SLT) experience in prestigious IB( International Baccalaureate) and CIS schools. An alumnus of St. Stephen’s College Delhi having a master’s degree in computer applications and professional teaching degree (B.Ed).Personal Philosophy of education“Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all. ” - Aristotle My perspective about education is summed up in this quote which means that purpose of education is not just to train the mind but to transform a life. I became teacher owing to my passion for teaching from a very young age. I strongly believe that no child deserves a bad teacher and therefore it is the responsibility of every teacher to contribute positively and effectively in a child’s holistic development. A teacher is a potter who can make or break a child’s spirit and intellect. One of the major responsibilities of an IB teacher is to role model the attributes of an IB learner profile. A teacher in the IBDP is a facilitator who creates optimum learning opportunities for students in inquiry-driven classrooms and beyond where they become informed and responsible learners to apply knowledge gained in real-life problems or situations. My experience- Currently working as Senior Leadership Team (SLT) member, IB Diploma Programme Coordinator (Dy.), TOK and Computer Science facilitator, Singapore International School, Mumbai since July 2018- My two decades of pedagogical experiences encompass a variety of leadership roles namely Head of the department, Examination Coordinator, Extended Essay & Theory of Knowledge Coordinator, Associate and Diploma Programme Coordinator and recently Chair of steering committee for Domain D assessment for our school\'s CIS accreditation- IB DP Senior examiner of Computer Science and Extended Essay components- Passionate IB DP Theory of knowledge practitioner in and beyond classroom by working on metacognitive competencies through applied, trans-disciplinary approach and providing the learners customized learning experience.Key skills & expertise- My expertise entails curriculum planning, curriculum management, implementation of standards and practices of the IB Diploma Programme- Ensuring the strategic implementation of standards and practices of IBDP. Coordination with all the stake holders in organization primarily students, academic staff, parents and management.
