Welcome to my LinkedIn profile! I’m Ashik Mullackal Ayyappankutty, an ACCA affiliate soon to become a full member. I am proud to have passed all ACCA exams on my first attempt, and I achieved the national first rank for the taxation paper. My career began at Ernst & Young (E&Y) as an Assurance Consultant in their Financial Services Industry division, where I was entrusted with auditing a prestigious client in the Wealth and Asset Management sector. This experience allowed me to gain a deep understanding of both the industry and the client’s business processes. I believe that having a solid grasp of a business makes audits more effective and efficient, and I also focused on incorporating technology to streamline the process. Following my time at E&Y, I joined Spicer Jeffries LLP, a top ten US CPA firm, where I began as an Audit Analyst. In this role, I was responsible for the end-to-end preparation of audits for approximately 15 clients. Now, as a Senior Auditor, I manage audits for around 25 clients, including high-profile accounts. In addition to my audit responsibilities, I also lead training sessions for junior team members and deliver presentations on recent changes in audit methodologies, technology, and financial reporting standards as per the SEC and AICPA. I am proud to have received recognition from the onshore team for my ability to manage complex audits while mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members.
