ABOUT ASHIE OSSAI

I am passionate about making a difference in health and social care, with a career spanning over two decades in the industry.Starting as a Support Worker in adult services in 2003, I progressed to Deputy Manager of a 4-bed ASD service by 2007, a role I held until 2010. That year, I was internally promoted to Manager of Supported Living, University, and Community Services, overseeing employment-based support initiatives. In 2014, I became Registered Manager of an 8-bed home. I was instrumental in improving the working practices and subsequently achieving an improved “Good” rating in 2018.During this period, the service transitioned from Cambian to Cygnet following a merger, with Cygnet acquiring Cambian’s adult services, including the home I managed—same service, just a new name. In February 2022, I embraced a new challenge as Home Manager for a children’s service, contributing to a \"Good\" Ofsted inspection until June 2023.Today, I bring my extensive experience to S.N.G. Healthcare, supporting our temporary staff and compliance team. As the Trusted Talent Partner for CQC Regulated Care, S.N.G. Healthcare works with care homes and health services across the UK, placing top talent from Home Managers and Directors to temporary support workers. My deep understanding of the sector’s challenges and successes drives impactful results, and I still enjoy working a shift from time to time, as my passion for working in the sector has not changed and I enjoy working hands on with people and our staff.
