ABOUT ASHISH CHOPRA

I am a senior leader with almost 20 of experience in the world of software development & delivery.I have experience in building and managing global teams to deliver high-quality software. All the teams I have worked with have been diverse, multi-cultural teams thereby giving me a unique insight towards approaching project delivery management with diverse, multi-region and multi-cultural team members. I have extensive experience in working with cross-functional teams across the organization, including finance, legal, HR, talent acquisition & sales. My experience working with technical and non-technical teams across a variety of cultures in APAC, EMEA and NAMER gives me a uniquely global perspective. I\'m a key expert in new engineer onboarding & training processes. I have built innovative ways to improve talent acquisition and interviewing processes & practices with a focus on software engineers. These include efforts to streamline existing hiring practices with the aim of reducing the time to hire and making sure the right candidates are hired for the right position.During my days as a hands-on software developer, Java has been my preferred programming language, though I have also worked on large C#-based projects. I\'ve also dabbled in several scripting languages, most notably shell scripting and have excellent knowledge of databases, having worked on Oracle\'s PL/SQL, Microsoft\'s SQL Server & Postgres SQL.I have mentored several junior/mid-level software engineers and helped them grow in their roles.
