   Responsible for the facilitation of the transportation planning process for the six-county central Texas region that includes Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties.Serves as the chief operating officer for the staff function of the organization; serves as the principal liaison to the Texas Transportation Commission, the Texas Legislature, Congress, the 20-member Transportation Policy Board, and the general public. Responsible for maintaining strong partnerships with local governments, the Texas Department of Transportation Austin District, Capital Metro, and the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority to maintain and improve mobility in the six-county region. Principally responsible for the creation and maintenance of the region\'s long-range transportation plan.
