I set up the Fluorescent In Situ Hybridization (FISH) Laboratory single-handedly and was the only person managing the lab for four years. During this time, I created all the QA/QC forms, performed new assay validations, maintained lab equipment and calibrations, kept inventories and supply orders, established communication with Pathologists, trained rotating medical students, residents, new lab technologists, and assisted with resulting out FISH cases when the lab director is absent.In the Molecular Laboratory, I performed the BCR;ABL PCR Assay, Invader Assay, Isolation of RNA/DNA, and extraction of plasma enrich cells using RoboSep.
