About Ash Jones

I am a multi award-winning creative strategist, collaborator, inspirational leader, visual and audio storyteller, film and podcast producer, director and writer, currently at Headspace Inc - making feature film, documentary, podcast and web content that engages, entertains and inspires the Headspace community and beyond. I co-wrote and produced the hugely-successful 2021 Netflix series \'The Headspace Guide To Meditation\', along with countless films, animations and audio content for the Headspace app, social, brand and marketing. My podcast series \'The Long Time Academy\' picked up multiple awards including a 2022 ARIA Gold award for Best Independent Podcast. I co-created the podcast series \'Radio Headspace\'- reaching millions of listeners each day, as well as co-creating the world\'s first mindfulness-themed call-in podcast series \'Dear Headspace\' where Headspace teachers share thoughts and wisdom with listeners on topics ranging from birth to death and everything in between. Until 2016 I co-ran the independent film and TV production company GREEN LIONS, producing award-winning content and feature documentaries. My film ERASING DAVID (2010) garnered international awards and press coverage, and premiered at the 2012 SXSW Festival. I wrote and produced PROJECT WILD THING (2013), still playing in festivals, cinemas, on TV and in communities around the world. The film won the prestigious 2014 Japan Prize, and has inspired a movement – The Wild Network - a growing coalition of organisations and thousands of individuals united in a collective vision to re-wild childhood, increase time children spend outside and away from screens, and help kids thrive in the 21st century. I began my career in the documentary department at the UK TV network Channel 4 where I was lucky enough to get to work with incredible filmmakers and artists including Michael Moore, Nick Broomfield and Jess Search. I am a life-long believer that entertainment can change the world and it\'s a mission, a purpose of mine to make the world more exciting and more comprehensible, and more fair. I’ve followed this mission and I got to make a huge range of content - animation, feature films, podcasts, short documentaries - and it has been everything I dreamed and more.
