ABOUT ANDI SHEASBY

I am a queer, trans, non-binary, neurodivergent lawyer, mediator, and workplace investigator with diverse experience in law, governance, and equity-focused work. I practice at Southern Law LLP, working with both public and private sector clients to provide neutral services on complex matters including harassment, discrimination, sexual assault, bullying, fraud, privacy breaches, and other institutional/workplace misconduct and conflict. I was previously a partner at a national law firm, specializing in corporate/commercial, financial services, and corporate governance. I have degrees from Cornell University (Government, International Relations) and McGill University (BCL/LL.B). I regularly devote time and expertise to speaking engagements and various access to justice initiatives. Notably, I currently serve as a Director of the BC Law Institute and on the Law Society of BC’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee and Bullying, Harassment and Discrimination Task Force.I am based in Vernon, BC and maintain a separate career as a visual artist and writer.I am currently exploring the intersection of access to justice, somatics, art, access to nature, and process/system reform in my work. When I’m not working I am outside (on a bike or skis) and/or with my young children.
