About Aseel Ayesh
Aseel Ayesh graduated with summa cum laude honors from Grand Valley State University\'s Master of Science in Accounting program in December of 2024. Over the course of just 3.5 years, she completed two bachelor’s degrees (in finance and accounting) and a master’s degree while maintaining a strong academic record. Aseel is also currently working toward earning her CPA license.Aseel’s commitment to the field extends beyond the classroom. Over the past two tax seasons, Aseel volunteered at a VITA site, working with the Seidman College of Business, United Way, and the IRS to prepare and review income tax returns for underserved community members. An eleven-month internship with Corewell Health’s tax department further demonstrated her practical skills and sparked her interest in the nonprofit healthcare sector, prompting her to consider pursuing a career in healthcare administration. Throughout her academic career, Aseel earned numerous recognitions for her academic and leadership accomplishments, including the prestigious 2024 Glenn A. Niemeyer Award, the 2024 Kenneth R. Vanderbush Award, and the 2024 Honors College Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement.
