About Andrew Scott
I am a researcher with a background in financial market regulation. While much of my previous professional experience was dedicated to international bank supervision, in recent years I\'ve shifted to domestic banking policy, chartering and licensing, cryptocurrency regulation, and payments infrastructure. Currently I work for Congress, helping members of both parties in the House and Senate, and their staff, as they draft legislation, consider policy options, and seek better understanding of financial markets. I have published technical research, presented to academic, legislative, and public audiences, and written several briefings for senior government officials, including executive branch officials, House and Senate committees, as well as the majority and minority leaders in both chambers.
