ABOUT ASAL SAEIDFAR

I am a researcher with a deep interest in electrochemical devices. With specialized expertise in multiscale multiphysics modeling, numerical simulation, and electrochemical analysis, I approach complex energy challenges with a rigorous scientific perspective.My research spans the development of sustainable methods for recovering critical minerals and materials from waste streams, as well as exploring non-energy applications of coal for materials recovery and fabrication. Alongside modeling, I bring hands-on experience in designing and building experimental test setups, performing characterization, and optimization.My Ph.D. research focused on optimizing catalyst layer designs to enhance performance and durability in PEM fuel cells. I developed and validated multiphysics and mathematical models that accurately capture PEM fuel cell behavior, formulating models for fluid flow, transport phenomena, heat transfer, reaction kinetics, electrochemistry, multiphase flow, and thermodynamics. Based on these numerical results, I fabricated catalyst-coated membranes with various compositions and studied their performance and durability through electrochemical characterization.With a strong analytical mindset and a passion for continuous learning, I am driven to contribute my skills in collaborative, forward-thinking environments. I am open to opportunities that push the boundaries of energy technology and advance a cleaner, more sustainable future.
