ABOUT ASAL AL SHAMMARI
I am passionate about creating a large impact in our world within the fields of global public health and sports medicine. Becoming a Questbridge scholar has inspired me to establish connections with others in order to positively impact the communities I serve. As a captain of Maine East\'s student athletic training program, as well as the president for HOSA and Rotary Interact, I have pursued and enjoyed seeking an array of ways to support my community. From tending to injured athletes, to aiding in the exploration of health careers, and even raising every high school year in Christmas presents for Chicagoan children, my efforts have always been to help others. Within my professional work as a caddie, I have expanded my networking to include CEOs, doctors, lawyers, and architects. I hope to continue expanding my connections to ensure that my impact can be felt by a variety of communities in the future within the field of medicine.
