About Asafe Lima

I’m a driven finance student at the University of Memphis (graduating December 2026) with a focus on corporate finance, investment analysis, and operational strategy. I’m passionate about understanding how great companies operate, grow, and allocate capital, and I’m actively building the skills needed to contribute value in fast-paced, analytical environments.My experience includes competing in the CFA Global Research Challenge, where my team placed 3rd regionally after producing a full equity research report on Sylvamo (SLVM). Through this project, I strengthened my abilities in valuation, financial modeling, industry research, and presenting complex insights to executive-level audiences.Beyond academics, I’m committed to gaining real-world experience. I will be joining GCF (International Paper) as a Global Supply Chain Co-op in 2026, where I’ll work cross-functionally with finance and operations to understand how one of the largest manufacturing companies in the world drives efficiency and profitability. I also proactively meet with finance professionals across investment banking, private equity, supply chain finance, and FP & A to learn their career paths and sharpen my understanding of what excellence looks like in the industry.I’m intentional about growth, whether that’s refining my analytical skills, increasing my exposure to corporate finance, or expanding my network with people who raise the standard of who I’m becoming. Long term, I’m working toward a career in high-impact finance roles, with the goal of eventually leading and building companies.Open to internships and opportunities in financial analysis, corporate finance, FP & A, private equity, and investment research.
