Asad Malik started in the hospitality industry in 2006 when he opened the Holiday Inn Express in Grand Blanc Michigan. He cultivated a relationship with IHG culminating in Amerilodge being recognized as Developer of the Year in 2013, 2014 and 2022 and in 2015 awarded the New Development Design Award. In 2025, Amerilodge was named as one of Crain’s Fast 50- Fastest Growing Companies and in 2025 DBusiness’ 500 Most Powerful Business Leaders. He was recognized by Ernst & Young as EY Entrepreneur of the Year and received the Michigan Economic Bright Spot Award. In 2021, Amerilodge Group received the Top Workforce Award by the Detroit Free Press. Asad serve currently on the Global Board for IHG Owners Association and is on Advisory Board for Tru by Hilton.
